Tony Asaro of the INI Group interviewed an IT professional who is the head of US storage and backup operations for a large financial firm. This is how he describes his role:


“My current role is the head of US storage and backup operations. I have been with the organization for approximately twenty months with the overall responsibility to direct, transform, engineer and lead the organization’s first US storage operations team. The team provides engineering and infrastructure operations support of the US SAN and NAS data environments including backup and data migration services for four US data centers and over eighty remote branch offices.”
