The City of Mission Viejo uses the Data Domain DD565. The INI Group interviewed Jackie Alexander, director of information technology.  This is how Jackie describes her role:

“I’m the director of information technology. I’ve been here for over ten years and I’m responsible for setting up the strategic goals for the city. The information technology department, one of its responsibilities is data backup and maintaining the security of our data.”

The following is an overview of City of Mission Viejo’s IT environment:

  • IT department supports nine facilities throughout the city

  • Thirty miles of fiber to support the nine facilities
  • Manages (among others)

    • Library circulation system (one million in circulation
